This document explains how uFindIt handles data, privacy, and platform usage. uFindIt is a student-built application created for University of Ottawa students and is actively evolving.
Important: uFindIt is not a commercial product and is still under development. While we take reasonable steps to protect users, the platform may contain bugs, limitations, or security gaps as we continue improving it.
uFindIt was created and is maintained by students as a learning-focused project. Features, security measures, and workflows are continuously updated. We do our best to provide a safe and functional experience, but the platform should be used with appropriate caution.
We use third-party services to store data and send notifications. While we apply reasonable safeguards, no system is guaranteed to be 100% secure. By using uFindIt, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Users are responsible for their own actions, communications, and decisions when using the platform. uFindIt does not verify identities beyond basic account information and cannot guarantee the behavior of other users.
uFindIt may experience downtime, maintenance periods, or unexpected issues. Access to the platform may be interrupted or discontinued at any time.
These policies may be updated as the platform evolves. Continued use of uFindIt indicates acceptance of the latest version.
If you want to delete your account and associated personal data, please contact us at app.ufindit@gmail.com. Please provide your student email. Account deletion requests are typically processed within up to 10 business days.
